sneaky 'lil trick

One of the coolest 'lil tricks
I've developed in my arsenal of
search engine tactics is to create
additional listings of my web
pages by using a number of FREE
URL re-direction services.
Let me explain this. URL re-direction
is when someone clicks on a
link on one domain, then gets
automatically transported to another
domain or link somewhere else
on the internet.
For example, let's say you
have a website or a simple personal
page that resides on your ISP's
server (you know, the
"free webspace" that's
provided by so many ISPs). The URL is
typically a long-winded URL, something
like www.myispdomain/webspace/users/yourname/pagename.html
While that's fine, and you'll
still get listed on search engines,
the tactic I'm about to explain
to you has two major benefits in
generating a great deal of additional
traffic to your site.
Using a re-direction service will
benefit you two fold:
1. The ability to create an
"easier to remember" URL.
2. The ability to get *additional
listings* with search engines.
(this will be a major benefit
to your web presence)
URL re-direction means exactly
what it sounds like. Here's how it
works. Simply register your l
o n g URL with one of these services,
then they will immediately issue
you a new shorter,
cooler looking URL.
Your old URL of this:
www.myispdomain/webspace/users/yourname/pagename.html
will now be accessible through
this:
www.gonow.to/YourURL.html
As you can see, this FREE tactic
can be used to really increase your
exposure. Not only can you register
your L O N G url with the search
engines, but you can also list
your new re-directed URL.
To say it simply, your doubling
your exposure!

Then of course you ask yourself--"how
well am I ranking on these
search engines?" Am I on
the 20,000th page of 2 million other links,
or am I link #4 on page 2?
In my opinion, there is only
